A Study on Taking Analgesics of High-School Girls During Menstruation


Abstract
The purpose of this study was to provide data for use in health care planning and efficient guidance of high school girls, through the study on taking analgesics of high school girls during menstruation.
The results of this study are as follows
1. The mean age of menarche was 13.7 years old.
2. The menstural cycle was regular in 65.4 % and duration of menstruation was 5?7
days in 62.1 %.
3. The most of respondents(93.9 %) complained menalgesia and those with moderate menalgesia were 60.6 %.
4. Those who had taken analgesics during menstruation were 11.7 % and 66.7 % of them hand taken since middle school.
5. Taking analgesics was not related with attitude on menarche, feeling of menstruation, self-confidence of feminality.
6. Taking analgesics was related with characteristics of menalgesia, limitation of action during menstruation(p<0.001, p<0.05).
